Ex Machina and the Martian are clearly the best hard science fiction movies of the year.

Ant-Man was a fun movie, but I wouldn’t call it sci-fi.

Seriously? I don’t know what film you were watching but the Mad Max I saw was thrilling, thought provoking, and fun. I loved the relationship between Max and Furiosa.

Also, Age of Ultron as well? I admit the film has flaws but the good stuff is great and far outweighs the bad BY A MILE! The actors are very comfortable in their roles and there interactions are worth the price of admission alone. Yeah, Ultron should have had a different plan and the lightning jacuzzi scene doesn’t work but I still loved it. I bought the Blu Ray and Civil War can’t get here fast enough.
