‘Afterburn’ comic book, created by Paul Ens and Scott Chitwood and published by Red 5 Comic, is currently being developed as a film by Relativity Media. The company is now negotiating with actor Gerard Butler (300) and director Antoine Fuqua (Training Day) to join their adaptation of the comicbook series.
The story follows a team of treasure hunters who return to Earth after half the planet has been scorched by solar flares.

After reading Jack Kirby’s Forever People and New Gods comic books and watching 2001: A Space Odyssey, Dirk was assimilated during first grade recess into the collective known as Science Fiction. Fueled by the visions of mad scientists such as Philip K. Dick and Frank Herbert, he has quietly searched the galaxy for the next BladeRunner, Brazil and Dark City. Born in San Francisco and currently enjoying a steampunk version of Ft.
