Vanessa Hudgens may have a puppy, but she wants it to be known that she has a feline side to her, and she wants the role of Catwoman/Selina Kyle in ‘The Batman’. She has been taking to her Instagram to drum up buzz of her taking the role.
If she’s responding openly like this, then that entire rumored cast list for The Batman is pretty much a fake.
But she’s definitely hyped about wanting to play Selina. pic.twitter.com/RHWaC6Vybs

Some of her comments have read: “Okay. Who do I need to talk to make this happen lol #dreamrole” and “@dccomics JUST THROWING IT OUT THERE. Dream role lol.”
She also posted imaged such as:
Josh Gad, who appears in the first collage, has been lobbying for the role of The Penguin, and it seems as though Hudgens is more than willing to share the screen with him.
Director Matt Reeves has hinted that ‘The Batman’ will possibly feature six of the Dark Knight’s enemies, although they wouldn’t all have primary roles. In addition to Catwoman and The Penguin, there have been whispers that The Riddler will appear, with the latest buzz being that Scarecrow and Bane may also be included. (Boo! For a variety of reasons.)

Though Warner Brothers has yet to make a public declaration, it is heavily rumored that Robert Pattinson will take over the role of Batman/Bruce Wayne in ‘The Batman’. Around the same time that Pattinson became a household name for starring as vampire Edward Cullen in the ‘Twilight’ franchise, Hudgens emerged as a star in the Disney Channel’s ‘High School Musical’ TV movies. Throw in a Jonas Brothers song for the soundtrack and we’re talking ’00s bliss!
Hudgens had a brief brush with the DC Universe, on the short-lived sitcom ‘Powerless’ in which she played an employee of Wayne Security. (You missed nothing if you never saw it.)
‘The Batman’ is currently scheduled to hit theaters on June 25, 2021.
