10 New Images From Netflix’s Upcoming ‘Masters Of The Universe’ Miniseries

Later this year, Netflix will bring another old-school cartoon property back to live with their 5-part miniseries ‘Masters of the Universe: Revelation,’ spearheaded by long-time pop-culture creator Kevin Smith. Serving as the showrunner and executive producer, Smith is joined by behind-the-scenes talent from the original ‘He-Man and the Masters of the Universe’ series, including Frederick Soulie as an executive producer and Susan Cordin as a producer. Longtime Smith co-collaborator Marc Bernardin serves as one of the writers, and the series’ music is composed by Bear McCreary. Speaking about what the original 1980s cartoon series meant to him, Smith had this to say: I watched all of the TV series growing up, it was everywhere in the ‘80s. These characters started off as toys and ended up becoming part of the global pop culture fabric. So much of this show has been possible because of the love and affection for this world at every level of production and the fandom surrounding this franchise. The God Of Mischief Is ’10 Steps Ahead Of You’ In The New ‘Loki’ Trailer & Photos

Even with the success of the now-complete ‘WandaVision’ series and the in-progress ‘Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ series, Disney isn’t resting on their laurels or taking it easy when it comes to the future success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and its forays into interconnected televised content. As a perfect example: coming hot on the heels of ‘Falcon and Winter Soldier’ after that series concludes is the series that may be the most eagerly anticipated of all the Marvel small-screen work, the Tom Hiddleston-led ‘Loki’ mini-series. Seeming to pick up Loki’s story pretty much immediately following when audiences last saw him – opportunistically stealing the Tesseract during the time-hopping chaos of ‘Avengers: Endgame’ – the God of Mischief looks to have gotten himself mixed up with the Time Variance Authority (TVA). The TVA appears to function as a sort of space-time regulatory force, and from the hints we’ve been given so far, it would seem that Loki’s action have caused some temporal ripples that need ironed out, with the god’s semi-unwilling assistance, of course. Episode Preview (Video + Pics): ‘Doctor Who: World Enough And Time’

This weekend brings about the beginning of the two-part season finale of ‘Doctor Who,’ entitled ‘World Enough and Time.’ This seems to be the build-up to the long-teased Missy/Master/Vault storyline that’s permeated the season since Episode 1. What are we in for? Here’s the official episode description from the BBC: Friendship drives the Doctor into the rashest decision of his life. Trapped on a giant spaceship, caught in the event horizon of a black hole, he witnesses the death of someone he is pledged to protect. Is there any way he can redeem his mistake? Are events already out of control? For once, time is the Time Lord’s enemy… Written by outgoing showrunner Steven Moffat and directed by DW veteran Rachel Talalay, the episode heralds the “beginning of the end” for current Doctor portrayer Peter Capaldi. To help hold you over until the episode premieres this weekend, we’ve got a slew of images from the upcoming installment, plus a short clip from the episode along with the various “Next Time On…” videos. ‘Lemony Snicket’ Warns You To Look Away

As Netflix prepares to make its latest venture into the realm of original content with the debut of ‘Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events’, fans surely find themselves wonder whether the streaming giant can maintain the seemingly impossible standard of quality it has set for itself. This concern is one felt all the more keenly given the ‘Lemony Snicket’ novels were last adapted as a feature film in 2004 that many considered to be something of a mixed bag. It’s a situation in many ways reminiscent of the lead up to the first season of ‘Daredevil’ two years ago. But fans can now begin to assuage those concerns with the release of a new teaser for the series. In line with the series’ promotion to this point, the teaser features narration from Patrick Warburton as Lemony Snicket cautioning the audience about the nature of the events to follow. Throughout the thirty second teaser, Warburton’s tongue in cheek narration warns of the “disturbed plots, villainous frightful deeds, and an absurd amount of child endangerment,” before it closes by advising the viewer to simply “look away”. Three Characters Introduced In New ‘Lemony Snicket’ Stills

It’s no secret that the words “Netflix original series” carry with them a certain expectation of quality. With a diverse set of success stories that ranges from ‘House of Cards’ and ‘Fuller House’ to ‘Luke Cage‘, some would say the streaming giant has set an impossible standard for itself, one that against all odds it keeps meeting. In January, we will get to see if they are once again able to meet those lofty expectations with the first season of ‘Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events‘. Author Daniel Handle and series star Neil Patrick Harris have both gotten in on the hype, releasing a set of still images from the upcoming series on Twitter. Each of these stills treats us to a look at a previously unseen character. The pair of images tweeted by Handle introduces the series’ versions of Dr. Georgina Orwell (played by Catherine O’Hara) and Justice Strauss (Joan Cusack), while Harris shared an image of himself as Captain Sham, an alter ego assumed by his character, Count Olaf.
