For those who missed it, Microsoft’s ‘Halo’ documentary entitled ‘Remaking the Legend – Halo 2: Anniversary’ is now available for stream on Twitch and as a free download on Xbox Video.
Made in order to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the famous sequel’s release, ‘Remaking the Legend – Halo 2: Anniversary’ covers in detail the development process that 343 Studios went through in creating the enhanced ‘Halo 2: Anniversary’ edition to be included in the ‘Halo: The Master Chief Collection’ coming out in November.
Right off the bat in the opening scenes of ‘Remaking the Legend – Halo 2: Anniversary’, you can find footage of the brand new cutscenes featured in the HD remaster of the famous game as well as the graphically updated gameplay and new sounds being added. In the documentary itself, there are interviews with members of the original ‘Halo 2’ development team talking about their experiences making the original game. Also featured are interviews with franchise developers and behind-the-scenes footage with artistic contributors to the game as well.
Just like ‘Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary,’ players can swap on the remastered graphical capabilities of ‘Halo 2: Anniversary’ at any given time. The game’s multiplayer mode will also receive some face lifting with six multiplayer maps from the original multiplayer mode being fully remastered as well. All other maps originally contained in the game will included as well but just with graphical updates as opposed to full-on remastering.
‘Halo 2: Anniversary’ is being developed by 343 Studios, the team who developed 2012’s ‘Halo 4’ and worked on the remake of the first ‘Halo’ game entitled ‘Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary.’
‘Remaking the Legend – Halo 2: Anniversary’ is available now as a free download on Xbox Video. The documentary is also available for streaming on Twitch. As an added touch, it will also be available for access for Xbox One users on the upcoming Halo Channel when it launches on November 11.
