Scarlet Witch Unleashes The Magic Of The Darkhold On The Marvel Universe

The Darkhold has a long and storied history in the Marvel Universe – both in the comics, where it was first introduced back in June 1972 in the pages of Marvel Spotlight #4, and in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where it has appeared canonically in ‘WandaVision’ and as well as the tangential TV series ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ and ‘Runaways.’ Before we see the book next on-screen – likely in next year’s ‘Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness’ – this Fall, Marvel Comics will feature the dark tome in a series of one-shot special-issue stories, featuring characters from across the pages of the company’s various titles. Written by long-time comics writer Steve Orlando, the tale will start with the self-titled Darkhold Alpha #1 before moving from character to character via their own special issues. Details of the story are being kept mostly under wraps, but Marvel does tell us that both the Scarlet Witch and Doctor Doom will try (and apparently fail to some degree) to contain the Darkhold from wreaking it’s magical destruction across the Marvel Universe. Strange Company: ‘Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness’ May Include Versions Of Known MCU Characters From Other Realities

Between what we know about ‘Loki,’ new rumors about Wanda (aka Scarlett Witch) losing it in ‘WandaVision‘ (both shows coming to Disney+ in the future), the time travel shenanigans of ‘Endgame,’ and the title ‘Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness,’ it looks more and more likely that the MCU is building toward a multiverse created by time travel and the reality-warping powers of the Scarlett Witch. All of which begs the question, what will Doctor Strange (and audiences) encounter when the character has to deal with the ‘Multiverse of Madness’ in his sequel film? The biggest rumor was recently talked about over on the website MCU Cosmic, where they claim we will see versions of MCU characters in these alternate realities, potentially characters like Captain America or Iron Man (or others), just played by different actors since they are not from the prime MCU reality. With Marvel Studios’ ‘Black Widow’ set to premiere on May 1, fans can’t help but throw out theories and rumors about the upcoming film. One such rumor is that Robert Downey Jr. may make an appearance as Iron Man in ‘Black Widow.’ Fans will remember that Iron Man sacrificed himself to save the universe and defeat Thanos in ‘Avengers: Endgame.’ However, some find it hard to believe that the hero who launched the Marvel Cinematic Universe is truly gone for good. While many of us would love to see Downey Jr. grace our screens as Iron Man in the future, the actor has stated previously that he feels that chapter is behind him. However, as ‘Black Widow,’ is set before the events of ‘Avengers: Endgame,’ it is not an impossible thought that Iron Man could make an appearance. The issue was brought up in a recent interview with Downey Jr., but the actor stayed hush hush, neither confirming nor denying, saying: “Right. Great. I mean, it would be nice if they notified me. Well, we covered the flops of 2019, but recapping the hits is a little easier because there is only one number to look for– how much a movie made. Of course, once you factor in production and advertising budgets, things can change, but for now, let’s look at the movies that made the most this year based purely on ticket sales. Of course, unless you’ve been living in a cave for the last year, you already know what the #1 movie is. But did these others do as well, better, or worse than you thought? Once again, this list is limited to genre films– science fiction, fantasy, and horror. That means that one major hit, Disney’s ‘The Lion King’ has been omitted. It is actually the second-highest-grossing movie of 2019, having earned $1.656 billion. That movie’s omission allowed the #10 movie on this list to slip in. What was it? 10. For the longest time, our Marvel superhero options in theme parks were pretty limited. Universal’s Islands of Adventure gave us a cool Hulk rollercoaster and a sweet Spider-Man ride, but those lack the MCU’s flare. Sure, that’s all because of licensing agreements from over twenty years ago, but we want some interactive Tom Holland Spidey action now! Don’t worry. Disney heard our cries and is set to deliver onto us tidings of colorful leather and spandex. 2020 is set to be the year in which significant changes will be happening all across Disney parks worldwide. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is going to be a substantial factor in that metamorphosis. In the coming twelve months, Disney California Adventure Park will be home to the first phase of Avengers Campus. This new land will be entirely dedicated to the heroes and heroines of the MCU in some exciting ways. Marvel Hater Martin Scorsese’s Christmas Presents Were Wrapped In Marvel Gift Wrap

Martin Scorsese grabbed headlines and evoked ire when he lambasted Marvel movies on multiple occasions while prepping the release of his newest Netflix movie ‘The Irishman’. Nearly everyone in Hollywood chimed in, with some (like Francis Ford Coppola) siding with Scorsese and others jumping to defend superhero flicks. Now it seems one such defender is none other than Scorsese’s own daughter, Francesca. And in a playful jab, Francesca wrapped all of her father’s Christmas presents in Marvel wrapping paper! On Instagram, she wrote: “Look what I am wrapping my Dad’s XMas gifts in.” She punctuated that statement with a crying from laughing emoji. No word on Martin’s reaction. ABC Will Air ‘Celebrating Marvel’s Stan Lee’ Later This Month

Portions of the special were filmed in front of a live audience, and that footage will be mixed in with archival interviews and footage of the comic book giant, as well as interviews with stars of various Marvel TV shows and movies, and other pop culture figures, all paying their respects to the man who co-created most of the famous characters that populate the Marvel comic books and adaptations. The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is an annual tradition for thousands who tune in to see the famous character balloons, colorful floats, and celebrities. The parade often incorporates whatever is hot in pop culture each year and back in the 1980s, fans were thrilled by floats featuring the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe/She-Ra: Princess of Power and the Marvel Superheroes. First, in 1985, an elaborate float was created by Mattel to promote its popular ‘Masters of the Universe’ and ‘Princess of Power’ toy lines. The front of the float was a recreation of Castle Grayskull, while the rear was the Crystal Castle. A giant serpent towered in between. Below you can find concept art for the float: This was one of the most technically advanced floats to ever appear in the Macy’s parade. Riding on the float were He-Man and She-Ra, their allies Angella, Buzz-Off, Castaspella, Frosta, Glimmer, Man-at-Arms, Moss Man, Orko, and Teela, and villains like Hordak, Skeletor, Beast Man, Catra, and Grizzlor. It seems the people are big fans of ‘Avengers: Endgame’. Who knew? In all honesty, it should come as no surprise that the #1 movie of all time took home the People’s Choice Award, the prize that is voted on by the people. The mega-Marvel mashup won Movie of 2019 and Action Movie of 2019. Robert Downey was on hand to take home the Male Movie Star of 2019 award. Tom Holland took home Action Movie Star for ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’, while Zendaya won Female Movie Star. She also took home Drama TV Star for her HBO series ‘Euphoria’.
