One of the internet’s most famous web series is coming back. ‘The Guild’, Felicia Day’s creation, has MMORPG players world wide clamoring for more and will return on Tuesday, July 26. If you have XBOXLive on the Zune Marketplace, or MSNVideo, you can catch the cast of ‘The Guild’ in this new season.
If you are one of the lucky one’s attending Comic-Con, you can also expect to see ‘The Guild’ represented there, as well.
This season, the cast is expanding their horizons, and moving out to more locations. One of these new locations will be a gaming convention known as Megagame-O-Ramacon. As a very successful way of connecting with fans, events like Comic-Con are a great way of promoting the show, Felicia says. You will be able to find them at booth 4201 for daily signings, and a panel at 4pm Saturday, July 23 in the Hilton Bayfront Indigo Ballroom, Comicon’s second-largest venue. The panel will include a preview of season five and Q&A with the cast.
In addition to regular cast members Vincent Caso, Jeff Lewis, Amy Okuda, Sandeep Parikh and Robin Thorsen, season five will feature recognizable guest stars from the science fiction and genre community as well as over 200 extras.
‘The Guild is a independent sitcom web series about a group of online gamers. The show started in the late summer of 2007, and for the first season was financed solely by Paypal donations from Loyal fans. Season 2, ‘The Guild’ has been distributed by Xbox Live and Microsoft and sponsored by Sprint.
