The latest trailer for ‘Alita: Battle Angel‘ has had a side-by-side comparison to the original and it would appear that the eyes everyone has been talking about have gotten a makeover. The look of the central character has been more humanized, and while her eyes are still a bit larger, their closer to what you’d expect to see and her flesh tone has changed as well.
You can see the change in the look below. I would actually say her skin tone is a more noticeable change than the eyes:

The original look polarized viewers when the first trailer dropped so it looks like the plan is now to partially back off from the look while still keeping her obviously not human.
Not everyone has been thrown from the new look, however, as Rosa Salazar who plays the character loves it as does the original creator of the franchise who would love it if moviegoers would view the film with an open mind.
