In yet another sign that DC Universe is toast, it has been announced that HBO Max will offer every DC Comics-based movie from the last decade, including some that you may not have even realized were based on DC Comics (like the ‘RED’ flicks), and Warner Brother’s latest super hit ‘Joker’. And the site will also offer every ‘Batman’ and ‘Superman’ movie from the last 40 years.

Also included are animated theatrical releases like ‘Teen Titans GO! To the Movies‘ and ‘The LEGO Batman Movie‘.

DC Universe, a service based on the premise that it is supposed to offer any and everything related to the DC Comics pantheon offers ‘Superman: The Movie’ and its three sequels, and ‘Watchmen’. That’s it. It does also offer all direct-to-video animated movies, though.
DC Universe also doesn’t offer the Arrowverse shows from The CW. Those have traditionally headed to Netflix once their seasons ended, but that agreement is complete. All shows that have already been offered on Netflix– ‘Arrow’, ‘The Flash’, ‘Legends of Tomorrow’, ‘Supergirl’, and ‘Black Lightning’ will continue to be offered, but new series ‘Batwoman’ is going to HBO Max.
DC Universe’s biggest draw has been its original and exclusive content. But its series ‘Doom Patrol’ will be released simultaneously on DC Universe and HBO Max.
For its part, DC Universe issued the following statement:

We also want to assure you that DC Universe is still going strong with an exciting year of super-fan service coming through this year and next. From our original programming, library of beloved series, ever-expanding comic library, real world events, and our just launched all-new Community, we’re just getting started.”
