Samuel L. Jackson has played countless iconic roles and when asked which one he would be thrilled to reprise, Mace Windu was one that specifically came to his mind. The Jedi Master was a stand out in the prequel “Star Wars” trilogy which George Lucas crafted before selling Lucas Film to Disney and has long been a fan-favorite even with how little screen time he ended up happening.
Jackson also shared other characters he’d like to revisit which included “Mitch Hennessy, [The] Long Kiss Goodnight. Mace Windu, Star Wars. Ordell from Jackie Brown.”
While all of these were fun characters for fans, Mace Windu is the only one listed here who he has already played across multiple films. While it looks like Windu died in ‘Revenge of the Sith’ after being electrocuted by Darth Sidious and thrown out a window, it may not really have been the end as “Star Wars’ has been known to bring characters back from the brink of death before.
Outside of the ultimate near-death experience with Darth Vader, fans have also seen Darth Maul brought back in ‘Star Wars: Clone Wars’ to continue on in ‘Star Wars Rebels’ and appear in the recently released ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ in a surprise end scene that plays off his role which was established in ‘Clone Wars’.
Would you love to see Samuel L. Jackson play Mace Windu in a future “Star Wars” movie? Do you think if they went that route they would show he somehow survived and went into hiding when Obi-Wan Kenobi sent out the call or would it be a prequel story? Share your thoughts below!
