An Agatha Harkness ‘WandaVision’ Spin-Off is in the Works at Disney+

According to a report from Variety, Disney+ plans to launch a ‘WandaVision’ spinoff based around the character of Agatha Harkness. As typical with most Marvel projects, details on this future Disney+ series are slim to none, however, we do know that Kathryn Hahn will revive her role as fan-favorite Agatha Harkness and it looks like Jac Schaeffer, head writer of ‘WandaVision,’ would be filling the slot as the writer and executive producer. While sources have described the show as a dark comedy, we know we can all look forward to one of our favorite witches returning to the screen in what is sure to be another captivating series. ‘WandaVision’ Sets Up The Future Of The MCU With The Multiverse; Wanda Will Officially Become The Scarlet Witch

You may think you’ve seen Wanda Maximoff unleashed on the big screen, but you ain’t seen nuthin’ yet, according to Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. As usual, the details of Marvel projects are kept under wraps, but Feige attended Brazil’s CCXP con and offered a few hints at the upcoming Marvel projects, including the mysterious series ‘WandaVision’ which will star Paul Bettany as The Vision, and Elizabeth Olsen as a character we currently only know as Wanda Maximoff. While most people know that Wanda is also known as the Scarlet Witch in the comics, she has never been referred to by that moniker in the movies, but Feige says that will change. As he stated at CCPX: “[We have] the opportunity to tell their story, and show more of what Wanda can do, more of what makes Vision, Vision, and most importantly, reveal a name that I’m not even sure we’ve said in the MCU yet, but we make a big deal of in the show, is the fact that Wanda is the Scarlet Witch. Marvel CCO Kevin Feige appeared at CCXP in São Paulo, Brazil over the weekend to share what few details about upcoming Marvel projects he could. One treat was a first look at ‘WandaVision’, the upcoming Disney+ series starring Elizabeth Olsen reprising her role as Wanda Maximoff and Paul Bettany as The Vision. Everything that has been revealed about ‘WandaVision’ so far makes this sound like a truly unique experience, part old-fashioned sitcom, part Marvel movie, part horror flick. It will heavily influence the upcoming theatrical movie ‘Doctor Strange in the Madness of the Multiverse’. Rumor has it, the dream-warping Nightmare will be the villain in both ‘WandaVision’ and ‘Doctor Strange 2’, and Olsen’s Wanda will co-star in ‘Doctor Strange 2’. Portions Of ‘WandaVision’ Will Be Taped In Front Of A Live Studio Audience

RUMOR ALERT: Take this with a grain of salt, as it is just a RUMOR at this point. “Filmed before a live studio audience” used to be a common slogan announced at the beginning of sitcoms, but it has become a rarity in modern times. So it’s a bit startling to learn that portions of ‘WandaVision’, one of the new Marvel Studios programs headed to Disney+ will similarly be filmed in front of a live audience. As to be expected, these audience members will be signing nondisclosure agreements, so don’t expect too many spoilers. It appears that ‘WandaVision’ is an homage to classic sitcoms, and part of the first episode is reportedly based on ‘I Love Lucy’, the first TV series that employed a studio audience. In it, Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) have settled down in the perfect ’50s suburb to raise a “nuclear family” which may include twin sons William (“Billy”) and Thomas (“Tommy”). And while ‘I Love Lucy’ is iconic, a more logical connection between ‘WandaVision’ and classic sitcoms would be ‘Bewitched’, which ran for eight seasons from the late ’60s to the ’70s. D23: ‘WandaVision’ Adds Kathryn Hahn As A “Nosy Neighbor” And Brings Back Two Marvel Movie Favorites

Two Marvel movie favorites will be returning in the upcoming Disney+ series ‘WandaVision’. In addition, Kathryn Hahn, who voiced Doc Ock in ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ from So– er, is it too soon to mention that studio’s name? Ahem, anyway, Kathryn Hahn of ‘I Love Dick’ and ‘Transparent’ has been added to the cast as “Wanda’s nosy neighbor.” Joining Hahn will be Kat Dennings, reprising her role as Darcy Lewis from the first two ‘Thor’ movies, and Randall Park as FBI Agent Jimmy Woo from ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’. New ‘Tomorrowland’ Promos Uncover More Mysterious Secrets

By now, Disney fans are probably aware of the upcoming sci-fi mystery ‘Tomorrowland’ from director Brad Bird and screenwriter Damon Lindelof. Although, just because people are aware of the movie doesn’t mean that they know what’s going on. From the moment that the film was announced, it was surrounded by hidden meanings and cryptic language from throughout history. But now that it’s only a few weeks from its theatrical release, a few more clues are being dropped to give the general audience an idea of what they’re walking into. And thanks to some new promotional material, plenty of new information about this mystical adventure has been revealed. Animated ‘Tomorrowland’ Prequels Tease A New Tomorrow With Plus Ultra

From the very moment that the project was announced, ‘Tomorrowland’ was shrouded in mystery. Though we’ve seen a few trailers here and there since we first laid eyes on that infamous box that inspired the movie, there is still plenty that we don’t know about Brad Bird and Damon Lindelof’s upcoming sci-fi adventure film. For instance, where did Tomorrowland come from? Well, we now have the answer thanks to a few animated prequels that outline the origins of this impossible place. The Disney Movie Trailers YouTube channel recently released a pair of videos explaining the history of a group known as Plus Ultra. Narrated by ‘Pinky and the Brain’ voice actor Maurice LaMarche, the animated shorts reveals that Nikola Tesla, Jules Verne, Gustave Eiffel, and Thomas Edison formed a secret society at the 1889 Paris World’s Fair that was dedicated to building a new tomorrow where nothing was impossible. From the moment that ‘Tomorrowland’ was announced, there was a major amount of secrecy surrounding it. For starters, there was that mystery box that Damon Lindelof and Brad Bird were showing off that contained various items relating to the inception of Tomorrowland in Disneyland and the 1964 World’s Fair. Then, the insanely awesome viral marketing/alternate reality game titled ‘The Optimist’ saw some fans embark on a scavenger hunt that culminated at D23 2013 and uncovered subtle references to the film. Finally, the first trailer dropped at New York Comic Con, but it wasn’t until very recently that the pieces of this puzzle started to make sense. After seeing a few trailers at this point, the latest international trailer for ‘Tomorrowland’ revealed the most about the story and its characters, including their connection to Walt Disney’s iconic theme parks. Disney Launches ‘Tomorrowland’ Viral Site With Concept Art

Earlier this week, ‘Jurassic World’ launched a pretty epic viral marketing website featuring “live” park cams and a ton more, but they weren’t the only ones to launch a new site following an ad shown during last Sunday’s Super Bowl. Walt Disney Pictures has done the same thing for ‘Tomorrowland’ and their site has some new material for the mysterious sci-fi adventure. Over at TakeMeToTomorrowland.com, you can see the Super Bowl spot for Brad Bird and Damon Lindelof’s upcoming film, but there’s a new twist. Just like when Britt Robertson touches the pin in the trailer, you can transport yourself to Tomorrowland by clicking on the logo whenever it appears on the video. When you do so, you’re taken to an extremely high-resolution image of the futuristic city. Disney Teases ‘Tomorrowland’ Superbowl Spot

Based on the incredibly secretive nature of the project and the talents involved in the film on screen and off, it’s easy to see why ‘Tomorrowland’ is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. At their joint panel with ‘Big Hero 6’ at last year’s New York Comic Con, Disney debuted the first trailer featuring stars George Clooney and Brit Robertson to a very receptive Main Stage audience. And though fans have to wait until May to uncover the entire mystery, those tuning in for the Super Bowl will get a very special sneak peek. Recently, the Mouse House carved out a coveted spot of advertising for Brad Bird and Damon Lindelof’s upcoming sci-fi adventure during this Sunday’s showoff between the Seattle Seahawks vs. the New England Patriots. Accompanying the announcement came a ten-second teaser for the thirty-second ad that will air in front of TV’s biggest audience of the year. Ever since ‘The Sixth Sense’, M. Night Shyamalan (‘After Earth,’ ‘The Sixth Sense’) has attempted to recapture the magic that first put his name on the map and is now trying again with his upcoming low budget film ‘Sundowning’. The film itself is a thriller that centers around a single mother with two kids who all visit their grandparents where things go horribly wrong. The role of the single mother is played by Kathryn Hahn (‘Tomorrowland‘, ‘The Secret Life of Walter Mitty’) while her son who is protective of his sister is played by Ed Oxenbould (‘Julian’, ‘Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day’). What exactly is ‘Sundowning’? Well it is actually a medical condition or more specifically a “a psychological phenomenon associated with increased confusion and restlessness in patients with some form of dementia. Most commonly associated with Alzheimer’s disease, but also found in those with mixed dementia, the term “sundowning” was coined due to the timing of the patient’s confusion.” Things going wrong with grandparents who may have Sundowning?
