Disney Announces Delay in Release of ‘Black Panther’ Sequel, ‘Doctor Strange 2’ and More

Disney has announced a delay in the release of multiple Marvel films that are slated to come out over the course of 2022 and 2023. The first major change we see is Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness being delayed about a month and a half, thus pushing the films with a following release date about the same. While this news may seem shocking, sources at Deadline claim this is not the result of any major problems, however, is the result of the fact that”some titles are contending with finishing scenarios while others are in production.” That being said, these delays are only for the films that are scheduled to be released and appear to have no effect on the streaming series at Disney+. An Agatha Harkness ‘WandaVision’ Spin-Off is in the Works at Disney+

According to a report from Variety, Disney+ plans to launch a ‘WandaVision’ spinoff based around the character of Agatha Harkness. As typical with most Marvel projects, details on this future Disney+ series are slim to none, however, we do know that Kathryn Hahn will revive her role as fan-favorite Agatha Harkness and it looks like Jac Schaeffer, head writer of ‘WandaVision,’ would be filling the slot as the writer and executive producer. While sources have described the show as a dark comedy, we know we can all look forward to one of our favorite witches returning to the screen in what is sure to be another captivating series. HBO Releases First Official Teaser for Game of Thrones Prequel House of the Dragon

HBO released the first official teaser for the much-anticipated Game of Thrones prequel, House of the Dragon at their HBOMax Europe launch event. House of the Dragon is based on George R.R. Martin’s “Fire & Blood” series which focuses on the story of House Targaryen set 200 years before the fall of The Throne in Game of Thrones. The story follows the members of House Targaryen and the Targaryen civil war which came to be known as the “Dance of the Dragons.” Watch the teaser trailer below and let us know what you think! First Look at Black Adam Suit and Hawkman Helmet in Leaked Set Photos

Black Adam fans are getting their first possible look at Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s costume in leaked behind-the-scenes images of the actor’s suit posted to Twitter last night. The leaked images not only include Black Adam’s suit but also show images of the classic Hawkman helmet fans are familiar with from the comics. The costume has similarities to the one worn by Zachary Levi in Shazam!, which would make sense as both superheroes, while rivals, draw their powers from the same source. Where this is our first peek into Black Adam’s suit, we surely can expect to see more to come at the upcoming DC FanDome event later this month. As many of us count down the days (160 to be exact) in anticipation to the December 18 release date of ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens,’ we can now help pass the time by delving into the series ‘Journey to Star Wars: The Force Awakens.’ While the 20 titles of the series have yet to receive publication dates, we know they will start rolling out this Fall leading up to the film’s theatrical debut. SDCC 2015: Ben Affleck To Co-Write, Direct And Star In Standalone ‘Batman’ Film

It’s only Day 1 of SDCC and the huge news bombs are already dropping. One such story coming out of San Diego revolves around a possible new movie in the DC Universe. According to Deadline , Ben Affleck is reportedly teaming up with the one and only Geoff Johns to co-write a standalone ‘Batman’ movie. Affleck is suspected to not only co-wrote, but also direct and star in this new film venture after he finishes up with his current projects. For the fans of the comic books out there, you may recognize Johns not only as DC’s Chief Creative Officer, but also as a writer for many DC comic books including Aquaman, Green Lantern, Batman, Superman, The Flash and more! Johns has also written for TV including ‘Smallville’ ‘Arrow’ and ‘Supergirl,’ and thus has more than proven his talent in the writing arena. ‘Arrow: Honor Thy Father’ – Recap

After the fantastic first episode of ‘Arrow’ last week, I came into this week’s episode with a little bit of apprehension. After all, with such a great start, you would hope that the show continues to move upward. Second episodes are hard as it is akin to coming out and performing after a headliner in a concert. Did ‘Arrow’s’ second episode hold its own? Read on for the recap to find out! (Warning! Spoilers ahead!) The episode opens with a narrative from Oliver explaining why he has decided to don the hooded vigilante disguise (mainly for the benefit of those who may have missed the first episode or those who were too busy looking at Amell’s abs to pay attention). We see Arrow in action as he takes out the entourage of Marcus Redman and then demands Redman to return the pension money that he stole. (Okay, demands may seem soft…coerce may be more accurate). The pilot episode of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ aired last night on the CW and if you saw it, you may have noticed that the “tale as old as time” had taken on a new twist. What once was a fantasy story has now become one of a sci-fi nature. But how did that come to be? In an interview with Blastr, co-creator and executive producer, Jennifer Levin, explains why she and her partner Sherri Cooper decided to go the non-fantasy route: “The network had said to us, it can be any kind of beast you want. It can be a metaphorical beast, which we talked about for a little bit. We talked about the original [1987 CBS series], where he is sort of in his beast look all the time. What we didn’t want it to be was a spell or anything like that, like in the Disney movie. We wanted to be more grounded, cause that’s what drew us to it. It’s been over 3 weeks since the last new episode of ‘Grimm’ and tonight’s show ends the drought for us Grimmsters. Continued from the last episode, Nick and Juliette are still trying to figure out their relationship while the Nuckelavee, sent by the Royal Families, sets his sights on Nick. Meanwhile, Monroe helps the detective with some undercover work. By the way, this week’s fairy tale is not from the Brothers Grimm, but from the famous Greek storyteller Aesop and his fable titled ‘The Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing.’ Dressed in the skin, the Wolf strolled into the pasture with the Sheep. Soon a little Lamb was following him about and was quickly led away to slaughter. Now let’s get to the recap! The episode opens with Nick meeting Bud who tells him that Juliette called him over to their house. He confesses to Nick that he let it slip that Nick was a Grimm and feels really bad about it. ‘Godzilla’ To Go Head To Head Against ‘Ninja Turtles’ With May 2014 Release

Get ready for a monster invasion as Warner Bros and Legendary Pictures have finally announced the release date for the ginormous Japanese reptilian film, ‘Godzilla.’ Not only was the official date of May 16, 2014, established, the announcement also confirmed the screenwriters, producers and executive producers. According to the press release, Gareth Edwards, who directed the indie film ‘Monsters,’ will be at the helm of the ‘Godzilla’ reboot working off a draft scribed by David Callaham (‘Doom,’ ‘The Expendables’ movies). David S. Goyer (the ‘Dark Knight’ trilogy, ‘Man of Steel,’ ‘Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance’) was later brought in to work on the script but was unexpectedly replaced for unknown reasons by newcomer Max Borenstein (‘The Seventh Son’). According to the announcement, all three men will be getting screen credit for their work on the screenplay. ‘Godzilla’ has been in development for years but it’s only in the last few months that the project seemed to be gaining steam. ‘Pond Life’ Prequel Mini Web-Series Debuts Today

In anticipation of the Season 7 premiere of ‘Doctor Who’ on Saturday, BBC produced a 5 part mini web-series called ‘Pond Life’ which premiered on the official ‘Doctor Who’ BBC website today! The prequel will chronicle the life of Amy Pond and Rory Williams when not on an adventure with the Doctor (in other words, when they lead their lives!). In a video introduction, Karen Gillan (who plays Amy Pond) explains: “It’s kind of everything that happens in between time travel. I often wondered, ‘What happens in between with the companions?’ And this is the episode where we get to see a kind of couple try and have a domestic, married life.” The series episodes are rather short with the first installment less than a minute long but it still holds the same charm as the television show. In Part 1, Amy and Rory receive a message from the Doctor telling them what he’s been up to lately.
