With the 15th year anniversary of the premiere of ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ coming up this week, I thought it was only right that I put down some of the most memorable and most epic moments of the series. If you have not watched the series, I highly recommend that you do before reading for there are spoilers ahead. Aang’s Emotions Get the Best of Him Episode: ‘The Southern Air Temple’ After his first encounter with Zuko, Aang along with Katara and Sokka travel to explore Aang’s former home, the Southern Air Temple. It’s a great day for the LGBTQ community with the news of the first gay kiss in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and on Valentine’s Day no less! The details of this huge moment in Marvel movie history came from a recent interview with actor Haaz Sleiman. Last August, it was confirmed by Marvel Studios Kevin Feige that ‘The Eternals’ would feature a gay couple. Feige described the super-powered character by saying, “He’s married, he’s got a family and that is just part of who he is.” In an interview with Logo, Lebanese-American actor Haaz Sleiman, who proudly identifies as “a gay, Muslim, Arab American man,” revealed that he will star in the upcoming superhero flick ‘The Eternals’ as one half of Marvel’s first openly gay couple. The ICONIC line “Barbie, eat your heart out” has been on the minds of ‘Child’s Play’ fans since ‘Bride of Chucky’ hit theaters in 1998. Well, we have good news for those fans! In January, SyFy announced that the network will be airing a reboot series that will revolve around the possessed doll of the ‘Child’s Play’ franchise. ‘ThunderCats’ Will Be Pouncing Back Onto Your Screens In New Cartoon Network Remake

Those of you who are fans of vintage animated shows will have a ROAR-ing good time when you find out that Cartoon Network has officially set a date for the premiere of the new ThunderCats series, ‘ThunderCats Roar,’ debuting on Saturday, February 22 at 10:30 A.M. ET. The series was originally expected to air in 2019 with the episodes “Exodus Part 1 & 2.” In the past decade, remakes have become a pillar in the film and television industry. The show follows the ThunderCats’ recently commissioned leader, the brave Lion-O as he leads his clan off of their dying home planet of Thundera to settle on Third Earth, which is also the home of the villainous Mumm-Ra. Episodes “The Legend of Boggy Ben” and “Prank Call” will air on the following Saturday, February 29. Originally airing from 1985 to 1989. ‘ThunderCats’ had a cast of characters that included Cheetara, Panthro, Tygra, Snarf, and WilyKit and WilyKat. After the success of Todd Phillips’ psychological thriller ‘The Joker’, there has been some talk about Warner Bros. and DC possibly producing spin-off films for the villains who appear in Robert Pattinson’s ‘The Batman.’ The full details on ‘The Batman’ have yet to be disclosed, but we know that Pattinson’s Dark Knight will cross paths a number of classic villains, including Catwoman (Zoe Kravitz) and The Riddler (Paul Dano). There will also be a few scenes set in Arkham Asylum, home of the most notorious criminals. RELATED: The Penguin, Catwoman, Riddler, And Firefly Appear To Have Been Confirmed As The Villains In ‘The Batman’ According to reports by Variety, Warner Bros. and DC believe that the villains mentioned above possibly could have their own solo spin-off films. In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Ian Somerhalder expressed interest in being a part of ‘Legacies’, the latest spin-off of ‘The Vampire Diaries’ in which he portrayed the brooding bad boy with a heart of gold Damon Salvatore. While promoting his new series ‘V Wars’, the 40-year-old actor revealed that he could see himself returning to the franchise created by Julie Plec, but not in the way that fans would expect. Somerhalder told ET: “I actually would love to talk to Jules. There is a deeper level to the #MeToo issue in Hollywood as Emily Clark is speaking up about being pressured to appear nude in her scenes in ‘Game of Thrones’ and the struggles she’s endured since to keep her clothes on when filming other projects. Clarke, who starred as Daenerys Targaryen (aka The Mother of Dragons and Breaker of Chains) on the HBO fantasy series, disclosed on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast that since her breakout role in ‘Game of Thrones,’ she has become “a lot more savvy about what I’m comfortable with, and what I am OK with doing,” in terms of onscreen nudity. The summer of 2016 saw the premiere of Netflix’s hit show Stranger Things‘ become one of the streaming service’s biggest and most profitable series of that year. Some were initially unsure of how far the show would go. David Harbour who stars as Chief Jim Hopper is one of those people most surprised by the success of ‘Stranger Things” as he originally thought the series would end shortly after its debut. His initial apprehension is understandable, stemming from the series’ featuring a young cast that lacked major stars, virtually unknown creators, and the fact that the series came almost out of nowhere. ‘Gargoyles’ has become quite a hot subject lately since the launch of Disney+. If you’re rewatching the hit 90s show you might have noticed some slight differences from when it was syndicated. This is due to Disney+ having the original, completely unedited versions of the animated series. Originally brought to light by @GregXB, it has been confirmed that the unedited episodes are streamed on the service. FYI, when we say unedited or uncensored, we don’t mean Goliath or any other gargoyles are flying around New York ripping out the hearts of bad guys or using language that would make a mother set a parental block for her child; the classic just had some heavier content when it first aired. An example of what I mean was inarguably one of the most controversial episodes “Deadly Force,” when Broadway, the clan’s “gentle giant,” accidentally shoots Elisa with a pistol. It has been 16 years since the series finale of ‘Buffy The Vampire Slayer’ and fans are still not over the critically acclaimed supernatural series, and neither are the cast and crew behind the classic TV series. ‘BTVS’ star Sarah Michelle Gellar has always been open about her time as the chosen one including her favorite (and least favorite) moments. In a recent interview with BuzzFeed, the actress spoke on her favorite episodes for the entire series, picking three that align perfectly with many fans’ favorite episodes, ranging from creative plot continuity to the most heart-wrenching and gut-punching of episodes. Twitter Campaign Launched By Creator In Hopes Of Reviving ‘Gargoyles’

The classic 90s animated ‘Gargoyles’ has been trending on Twitter since the launch of Disney+ launched early Tuesday morning. Later in the afternoon, the creator of the popular series took to Twitter to officially endorse #KeepBingingGargoyles, a movement started in hopes of sparking a discussion for a revival at Disney. A similar social media campaign, as Greg Weisman mentions, is what eventually brought back ‘Young Justice’, another show he helped create and currently develops on DC Universe after its cancellation from Cartoon Network. Elijah Wood and Daniel Noah Want A “Nightmare on Elm Street” Reboot

Reboots and sequels have become more and more popular, becoming more prevalent than original storylines. Horror films are an example of these timeless genre films with the ability to leave and come back, adding new fans while also bring back fans. Most recently, 2018 saw the successful return of ‘Halloween’, opening the door for a resurgence of other slasher flicks. Now Elijah Wood is openly expressing interest in bringing back Wes Craven’s famous ‘Nightmare on Elm Street.’ The last ‘Nightmare on Elm Street‘ film was the 2010 reboot, which wasn’t the best film to come out from the franchise, but it was a nice fresh film to bring the franchise back to life. Due to the low ratings and mostly negative reviews, it was obvious at the time that there would be no immediate sequel following up. Since Season One of the DC universe web series ‘Titans’, comic readers have been anticipating Starfire’s storyline to unravel as her origins have been one of the biggest mysteries of the series. Season Two has begun to delve deeper into the backstory of all of the members of the titular superhero team, including Starfire, who is of royal blood on her home planet. The second episode of the new season introduced her former bodyguard and lover who had been sent to Earth to bring her back home. Her decision to stay on Earth with the Titans clearly has been met with disapproval from her family, especially from her sister Blackfire, who made her villainous debut in the most recent episode. A villian in the comics, Blackfire has taken over the throne since her sister failed to return home. Shortly after this is information is shared with Starfire, Faddei (Starfire’s Tamaranean lover and bodygaurd) is possessed by some strange force; he is later revealed to be under the influence of Blackfire. The hit franchise ‘Star Trek’ is known for using its storylines to take on relevant social issues in its stories. But one touchy subject ‘The Original Series’ never addressed is same-sex relationships. George Takei, now a well-known voice in the LGBTQ community, played Mr. Sulu in ‘Star Trek: The Original Series.’ Speaking to PBS NewsHour, Takei says creator Gene Roddenberry was hesitant to introduce a gay character after airing the episode “Plato’s Stepchildren.” This particular episode included an interracial kiss between Capt. Kirk (William Shatner) and Lt. Uhura (Nichelle Nichols). In the interview, Takei (still closeted at the time) states that he had proposed an idea about making an episode with a gay character to Roddenberry. He recalls Roddenberry saying, “You’re right, I’d like to do that, but I’m walking a tightrope. The interracial kiss was very controversial… And so I’ve got to keep the show on to tell the stories that I’m telling, which aren’t being dramatized metaphorically on any other show.
