Adrianne Palicki

Marvel’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘ has seen quite a run, starting from the meager clutter of Daisy’s Van to hijinks in time travel and deep space.  During the course of the series, we met Agent Bobbi Morse, played by none other than Adrianne Palicki (also known for her role as Commander Kelly Grayson on ‘The Orville‘).  After a run for two seasons on ‘AOS’ her character and that of Agent Lance Hunter (played by Nick Blood) were written off the show in a very touching series of episodes.  I, for one, loved the idea of the “spy’s good-bye” as all the other characters secretly toasted the two characters’ departure.

Palicki appeared at a panel for ‘Orville’ at New York Comic Con last weekend.  During the Q&A portion, someone asked her if she was going to be returning to ‘AOS’ for the final upcoming season.  She responded:

“Y’all, they did not call me. They did not.”

When the panel attendees expressed their disappointment, she added:

“I know, I was really bummed. I didn’t know it was the last season, either. So, but… I’m sorry.”

Even though it looks like Bobbi is gone for good, it looks like ‘AOS’ will be going out on a high note.  Executive producer Jefferey Bell and co-showrunner Jed Whedon offered a few teasers about what they saw in the show’s future.  Bell hinted:

“I’ll say this: We swung for the fences in season seven. And sometimes when you swing for the fence, you hit home runs”

While Whedon followed up with:

“There are some bonkers episodes [coming] … some of our most purely entertaining episodes, and we hope people enjoy them as much as we did. We definitely swung for the fences.”

It looks like all our usual favorites will be joining us for the final season, and it sounds like the producers are going all out!
