Fans of everything Batman related are going to be thrilled that the final trailer for DC and Warner Bros. upcoming R-Rated ‘Joker’ has finally dropped. I’ve been on the fence for the movie since it was first announced and while I’m still not sold on the film, I will fully give Joaquin Phoenix credit for delivering a freakishly fun laugh in his portrayal of Arthur Fleck.
The trailer is worth checking out for that alone!
Director Todd Phillips really needs to deliver a solid movie to justify revealing an origin to the mysterious Clown Prince of Crime, and thankfully he has a fantastic cast with Phoenix, Oscar winner Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz, and Marc Maron to help entice fans into giving this a watch.

Don’t get me wrong, I do feel like this looks as if it will be a good movie. I’m just not sure that I think it will be a good Joker origin story. DC deserves a lot of credit for giving up on mimicking what Marvel Studios has done and knowing they need something different to compete on the big screen. It is too early to tell if this will be the big win that they’re looking for, but the majority of initial comments seem to be positive.
I love that they’re thinking outside of the box with projects like this one.
