After opening at #1 at the UK box offices last week, ‘Dredd 3D’ is ready to cross the pond and premiere here in the United States this Friday. But before we see Karl Urban’s take on the new (and definitely improved) Judge Dredd in theaters nationwide, we have all the promotional lead up to the film’s American opening weekend. To continue with the hype for director Pete Travis’ version of the British comic strip hero, we have a few new TV spots.
The first video gives you a small sampling of what the critics are saying about ‘Dredd 3D’. Then, in the second video, which aired on Sunday during WWE Night of Champions on pay per view, WWE Superstar Dolph Ziggler introduces a quick look at some footage from the film. Thanks to Comic Book Movie, you can see the two newest TV spots below:

I had the pleasure of seeing the film already and I can tell you that it was a lot of fun. The sheer amount of badassery was nicely complimented by amazing 3D work and gruesome special effects. It’s definitely worth the trip to the theater this weekend. It reminded me of a more violent, slightly less awesome ‘Attack the Block’, minus the aliens.
‘Dredd 3D’, starring Karl Urban, Olivia Thirlby, and Lena Headey, opens on September 21, 2012.
