NECA Teases ‘Toony Terrors’
NECA first showed off their new ‘Toony Terrors’ toyline of stylized horror figures back at Toy Fair in February, but now they’re finally showing off the fully package figures that we can expect to see hitting stores towards the end of the summer season! This line gives us an animated take on some of our favorite horror icons like Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, and Pennywise the Clown! Series one of the line includes each of these icons, even including a version of Pennywise based on both adaptations of Stephen King’s ‘It’!
While this line features no articulation, each of these 6″ scale figures comes packaged on a classic style blister card that features a card back that doubles as backdrop for each specific character. Now we just have to wait for someone to make a 6″ scale ‘Scooby-Doo’ action figure line for the terror to truly begin!
Hot Toys Brings Us More Comic Movie Icons
The team Hot Toys is well known for producing some of the highest quality 1:6 scale collectibles on the market. Every time there’s a new comic book or sci-fi film on the horizon, the team at Hot Toys is ready to go with new figures for the film! So it should come as no surprise that this week we’ve got two new comic book movie icons coming to their 12″ scale figure line later this year!
First up we have the convention exclusive Two-Face from Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Dark Knight’! This figure features a likeness of actor Aaron Eckhart and will be exclusively available as a traveling convention exclusive from Hot Toys. That means you’ll be able to pick it up at several high-profile events like San Diego Comic Con, New York Comic Con, and more conventions throughout the next year. Two-Face includes a pistol, a shot glass, his iconic coin, as well as a number of alternative hands. Check out the full release information from Hot Toys below!
The Dark Knight – 1/6th scale Two Face Collectible Figure
“The night is darkest just before the dawn. And I promise you…the dawn is coming.”
The Joker tied up Harvey Dent, and when Batman attempts to save him, an explosion set off caused half of Harvey burnt, disfiguring him in The Dark Knight. The tragedy leaves Dent traumatized, mentally disturbing him into insanity, blaming Batman for his condition. Harvey always carries around a coin that he flips to determine whether he will do a good or evil deed.
After 11 years of Hot Toys’ first release of the figure, we are excited to revisit this villain – Two Face in 1/6th scale collectible figure from The Dark Knight. Skillfully crafted by our two incredibly talented painting artists and head sculptor at Hot Toys – JC. Hong and Yulli, this amazing figure is one of our Toy Fair Exclusive items this year only available in selected markets!
The movie-accurate collectible figure is specially crafted based on the image of Aaron Eckhart as Two Face/Harvey Dent in the movie featuring a newly developed head sculpt with half burned face, finely tailored suit with burnt marks, highly-detailed weapon and accessories including pistol, glass with drink, badge, coins, and a movie-themed figure stand.
The Dark Knight collection wouldn’t be complete without this Two Face collectible figure.
We also have another traveling convention exclusive in the form of the legendary Stan Lee! This all new Stan Lee figure it’s based on his Cameo appearance in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2’, wherein he is wearing a spacesuit and talking to The Watchers and telling all of his stories. Stan includes a space suit with removable helmet, removable glasses, a special diorama with backdrop for display purposes, and more! Check out the full details below!
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 – 1:6 Stan Lee® Collectible Figure
“Hey! I’ve got so many more stories to tell.”
Marvel legend Stan Lee, makes a cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 just as he’s done in every Marvel Cinematic Universe movie! In his scene, which takes place on a planetoid called Xander, Stan Lee is surrounded by members of the Watchers, the ancient race who observe everything happening in the universe and who occasionally meddle in it despite a strict non-interference policy.
Often credited with transforming the industry forever, Stan The Man was an American comic book writer best known for his work with Marvel Comics. Today, Hot Toys proudly presents Stan Lee in the latest 1/6th scale collectible figure inspired by his cameo appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 as one of this year’s Toy Fair Exclusive items only available in selected markets!
The highly-accurate collectible figure is specially crafted based on the appearance of Stan Lee in the movie. Featuring a newly painted head sculpt with stunning likeness, a meticulously tailored costume featuring Stan Lee’s yellow space-suit in the movie, a pair of glasses, a specially designed rock-themed diorama figure stand with intricate stone details and a specially designed space backdrop with lenticular effect inspired by the movie scene when Rocket and Groot are Space-Traveling above Stan Lee and the Watchers!
Reserve a spot for this remarkable Stan Lee figure. His inevitable cameo is way more awesome than you realize!
McFarlane Is ‘Doom’ed
The ‘Doom’ video game franchise has been around for over twenty-five years, and somehow in a quarter of a century, no one has managed to make a proper action figure of the Doom Marine. That all changes now thanks to the team of McFarlane Toys, who have released new images and information for their upcoming 7″ scale figure of the iconic video game hero! The new McFarlane Doom Marine is based on the character’s appearance in the most recent game in the series, which was a reboot simply titled ‘Doom’ that released in 2017. The figure features 22 points of articulation and includes a shotgun, plus both an extended and sheathed arm blade. With an anticipated price point of just $21.99, there’s no chance in hell this figure will be sitting on shelves for long! Check out the full release info from McFarlane Toys below!

Funko Enters The ‘Treehouse Of Horror’
The annual Halloween special ‘Treehouse Of Horror’ episodes of ‘The Simpsons’ animated series are a personal favorite of mine. Like so many of you, I look forward to these new special episodes each and every year to see ‘Simpsons’ writers lampoon yet another horror classic in an anthology setting.
