Once-over again we are back with an all-new Toy News Tuesday! We’re the one weekly column right here on ScienceFiction.com where we seek out all of the awesome news you need to know about any announcements and cool happenings in the toy industry and put them all in one easy to find place for you! With the passing of Halloween, we have officially entered the month of November, and with it the holiday season! The next few weeks are sure to be jam packed with all of the coolest last minute releases for the year, so buckle in, sit back and relax! Suit Up With Iron Man Mark 50
Over the years we have had plenty of Iron Man figures, especially in the last decade since the hero made his live action premiere in his self-titled film adaptation, ‘Iron Man’. This week the team at Diamond Select Toys announced they’re bringing us at least one more figure based on the popular character, and this one may be the best yet! Say hello to the new Marvel Select Iron Man Mark 50 (L)! This new Iron man figure is based on the hero’s appearance in this summer’s ‘Avengers: Infinity War”, and includes a number of alternative hands and weapon attachments to give you the ultimate Iron man experience! Exclusive Marvel Select Iron Man Figure Brings Infinity War to the Disney Store!
The international box-office smash Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War is now in homes around the world, and people are still talking about the film’s spectacular action and shocking finale. Now, Diamond Select Toys is ready to release their first Marvel Select action figure based on the film, and it’s exclusively at the Disney Store and on DisneyStore.com!
The Marvel Select Iron Man MK 50 Deluxe Action Figure is based the character’s appearance in Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War, and measures 7 inches tall with 16 points of articulation. It includes interchangeable sets of open hands and closed fists, as well as two sets of Nanotech Handblades and a Nanotech Repulsor Cannon.
The figure will be available for purchase on November 3, in-store and online at shopdisney.com and shop.marvel.com. It comes packaged in display-ready Select packaging, with side-panel artwork for shelf reference. The Marvel Select line will release the rest of its Avengers: Infinity War line in late December.

Hasbro Reveals New Marvel, Star Wars, and… Overwatch?!
It seems to be a big week for the team at Hasbro, who are pulling out all the stops to bring collectors the toys they want and lots of them! This week alone, Hasbro has revealed new collectibles for their popular 6″ scale ‘Marvel Legends’ line and multiple ‘Star Wars’ lines, including a number of retailer exclusives, and announced an entirely new toyline based on an all new license! It looks like they really wanted to pull out all the stops leading into the holiday season, even if most of these products won’t be out for some time yet!
While at Lucca Comics and Games Expo in Italy this past weekend, Hasbro revealed our first real look at two new 6″ ‘Marvel Legends’ figures for their Spider-Man themed wave, plus a new 6″ ‘Star Wars: Black Series’ figure and a 3.75″ ‘Star Wars: Vintage Collection’ figure, providing a little bit of something for everyone! Marvel fans can look forward to new 6″ scale figures of The Puma and Six-Armed Spider-Man, while ‘Star Wars: Black Series’ collectors will finally be getting the 6″ Mace Windu Figure they’ve been asking for for years! Finally, fans of the smaller 3.75″ scaled ‘Star Wars: Vintage Collection’ can finally add a fully articulated Poe Dameron to their collections! These figures are all due out next Spring!

Available exclusively from our friends at Entertainment Earth, there is a new ‘Star Wars: Black Series’ 2-pack featuring Hoth Han Solo and Princess Leia! Last but far from least, Hasbro made an appearance at BlizzCon this past weekend and gave gamers their first ever look at the ‘Overwatch Ulimates’ toyline! Hasbro announced that they had acquired the master toy license for the ‘Overwatch’ video game way back in May of this year, but as of this weekend had not shown off any of their planned toys outside of a few themed Nerf Blasters role play weapons! That all seems to have changed with our first look at the ” scale ‘Overwatch Ultimates’ Mercy figure! This fully articulated figure is planned as part of a figure 2-pack that will be releasing next spring.

The team at Hot Toys are fairly well known for going above and beyond when it comes to producing the perfect 1:6th scale version of a figure, but sometimes they’ve got to go back to a previously released figure and take it to a whole new level by adding on a whole slew of new bells and whistles to truly make a flawless plastic rendition of a character. So without further adieu, Hot Toys is proud to announce their new 1:6th scale ‘Star Wars’ Deluxe R2-D2! This figure is a masterful rendition of R2-D2 as seen in the original ‘Star Wars’ trilogy, with a literal cornucopia of new accessories added on to really make this figure pop! New accessories for this Deluxe R2-D2 include a lightsaber hilt, Death Star Plans Data Disk, a number of interchangeable arm attachments, a light-up LED light lamp with cable attachment, and even two tiny holographic Princess Leia figures! QMX Brings ‘The Nun’ To 1:6th Scale
After terrifying audiences in ‘The Conjuring 2’ back in 2016, the Demon Nun ‘Valek’ was given it’s own full feature length movie this year simply titled ‘The Nun’! With the popularity of both the ‘Conjuring’ franchise and Valek the Demon Nun at an all time high, it should come as no surprise to see more and more collectibles based on the series and character coming our way! This week our friends at Quantum Mechanix announced plans for an all new 1:6th scale Valek figure from ‘The Nun’ that is sure to scare the hell out of your wallet! Valek will include two interchangeable heads and is expected to be priced around $199.95. Further information is currently scarce, but we will be sure to keep you posted as more information becomes available! Warner Bros. Studios’ hit horror movie, The Nun, has become the highest grossing entry in The Conjuring movie series. The film features a demon nun terrorizing a convent in Romania. The Nun character was introduced in The Conjuring 2 and proved popular enough for her own film spin-off.
Quantum Mechanix Inc. (QMx) is pleased to announce the first-ever licensed collectible of Valak, the demon nun, as a fully-articulated 1:6 scale figure. The Master Series “The Nun” figure will feature movie accurate costuming and two separate head sculpts to reflect different expressions. Price and details subject to change.
NECA’s Got Dragons, Killers and Survivors
This week’s new reveals from the team at NECA are truly a mixed bag! We’ve got our first figure in a new line based on a fan favorite video game franchise, a new version of an old favorite, and our first ever figure of a horror icon!
First up is the debut of NECA’s all new figure of Spyro the Dragon from the video game franchise of the same name! Spyro is appropriately 8″ in length and fully articulated, with his appearance based on his original appearance in the game franchise. NECA’s Spyro the Dragon is anticipated to release early in Spring 2019. 
Next up is the all new ‘Ultimate Jason Voorhees 2009’! This is a newly sculpted fully articulated version of Jason Voorhees from the 2009 remake of ‘Friday The 13th’! This new figure, which should be arriving just in time for the 10th anniversary of the film next spring, and includes two alternative heads (including one with a removable hockey mask) and a small arsenal of weapons including a machete, an axe, a screwdriver, a hammer, and a firepoker! As with most ‘Ultimate’ figures from NECA, expect a ton of articulation and an insanely detailed sculpt when this figure releases next year. 
Last but far from least on the NECA news front is the recent reveal of the first ever Laurie Strode figure from the ‘Halloween’ franchise! This new figure is based on the characters appearance in the recently released sequel, ‘Halloween’ (2018). No additional details are available yet for this figure, although it’s safe to say that fans are excited to finally bring her home after all of these years!

Funko Powers Up New Megaman
While we’re sure most of you were expected a new wave of POP! Vinyls (and really, when aren’t you expecting those at this point?), the team at Funko has just announced an all new 3.75″ scale figure line based on the iconic video game hero ‘Megaman’! The line will be comprised of several color variations of Megaman like Classic Megaman (Blue/Blue), Thunder Beam Megaman (Grey/Yellow), Leaf Shield Mega Man (Green/White), and a special Chase figure Atomic Figure Megeman (Red/Yellow), as well as a figure of the villainous Dr. Wily! Each figure will sport 9 points of articulation and includes alternative hands (except for Dr. Wily, who is articulated but includes no alternative parts or accessories)! This new line of ‘Megaman’ figures is expected to hit stores in December just in time for the holidays!
More ‘Crash’ Incoming!
There are few pop culture comeback stories quite as satisfying as the return of the ‘Crash Bandicoot’ brand. The video game franchise was essentially the Playstation answer to the ‘Mario’ franchise back in the late 90’s, but it suffered through a bit of rough patch for most of the 00’s and early 10’s, only to return in the last few years in a big way! Funko is celebrating Crash’s return in style with a whole new wave of POP! Vinyls based on the fan favorite video game franchise with new figures including Aku Aku, Coco Bandicoot, Scuba Gear Crash Bandicoot, and the Gamestop exclusive ‘Fake’ Crash Bandicoot! This whole new wave of ‘Crash Bandicoot’ items from Funko is expected to hit stores this December!
WE WILL, WE WILL, POP YOU!
The recently released biographical-drama film ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ tells the story of the legendary rock band ‘Queen’ and their iconic frontman, the late Freddy Mercury. While the film is being overall well received, there’s just nothing quite like the real thing, which is why Funko is hitting the real source material and bringing us a new wave of POP! Vinyls based on Queen in all their glory! The new ‘Queen’ wave is going to bring rock stars Roger Taylor, Brian May, John Deacon, and of course Freddy Mercury, to the POP! Rocks line. There will be three versions of Freddy Mercury available, including a basic version, a version based on the 1986 ‘Wembley Stadium’ performance, and an FYE exclusive version based on the 1982 ‘Madison Square Garden’ performance! This wave of POP! Vinyls is expected to hit stores in January.
Fittingly, this week Funko also announced a new wave of POP! Vinyls based on the classic 90’s comedy ‘Waynes World”! This ‘Saturday Night Live’ inspired comedy tells the tale of two friends who host a public access television show celebrating their love or rock and roll! Funko has recently revealed new POP! Vinyls of both of the films leads, Wayne and Garth, as well as a Target exclusive 2-pack featuring the pair in hockey gear! All of the new ‘Waynes World’ POP! Vinyls are expected to hit stores this month, so keep an eye out and party on!
