As most movie-goers these days know, remakes are unavoidable – they seem to be a permanent part of our cinematic landscape these days. They can certainly be a mixed bag – some are just slapped-together cash-grabs, others legitimately understand and work to build upon their source material.
While the jury is still out on the remake of ‘IT,’ the remake of the nightmare-inducing 1990 film based on the Stephen King novel of the same name, hopes are certainly high. Courtesy of the MTV Movie & TV Awards, we now have a look at some brand-new footage via a creepy new trailer for the film.
Take a peek below; viewers who have seen the original film will see much that is familiar here, with (hopefully) enough new spark to turn this movie into something that will work to be more than just a rehash of the former.
