Disney never really does anything halfway when it comes to its new movie releases, but it’s clear that they wanted to pull out all the stops with the very meta-aware ‘Wreck-It Ralph 2: Ralph Breaks the Internet.’ We’ve known for a while now that main character Vanellope meets all the Disney Princesses in a never-before-done gathering of the animated royalty, but the newest trailer for the film gives us a glimpse at dozens of more Disney characters that will apparently also be making cameo appearances in the film.
Before we give you a rundown of all the characters we saw (and yes, we’ve watched and paused this video several times today), take a look at the new trailer:
You’ve still got the awesome focus on the Princess Party, of course, but through Vanellope and Ralph visiting the “Oh My Disney” site on the internet, they get immediate exposure to lots more of the animated giant’s sizable roster. The absolutely identifiable characters in the new trailer include Nick Wilde (‘Zootopia’), Grumpy (‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarves’), Hei Hei (‘Moana’, Tinkerbell and Peter Pan (‘Peter Pan’), Buzz Lightyear (‘Toy Story’), Baymax (‘Big Hero 6’), Eeyore (‘Winnie the Pooh’), Tsum Tsums, and a whole slew of “blockhead” style characters (some that seem pretty identifiable, like ‘Star Wars’ character Darth Maul).
It’s unknown at this point if many of these characters will have speaking lines, but the odds may be good that we’ll hear more than a few speak, as evidenced by both Grumpy and Eeyore having a line in the trailer. Would Disney really pony up the money to have Tim Allen come and record a line of dialogue for Buzz Lightyear? The company has asked their Princess voice talent to be present in the film, as previous trailers have featured lines spoken by Auli‘i Cravalho (‘Moana’), Kristen Bell (Anna from ‘Frozen’), Kelly MacDonald (Merida from ‘Brave’), Mandy Moore (Rapunzel from ‘Tangled’), Anika Noni Rose (Tiana from ‘The Princess and the Frog’), Irene Bedard (‘Pocahontas’), Linda Larkin (Jasmine from ‘Aladdin’), Paige O’Hara (Belle from ‘Beauty and the Beast’) and Jodi Benson (Ariel from ‘The Little Mermaid’). Time will tell!
‘Wreck-It Ralph 2: Ralph Breaks the Internet’ is in US theaters on November 21, 2018
