One of the elements most fans are looking forward to in ‘Captain America: Civil War’ is Chadwick Boseman‘s debut as Black Panther, the first black superhero in comics. Boseman’s character will go on to appear in the two ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ movies and will headline his own movie in 2018.
The character has popped up in trailers and photos, but for some that isn’t enough! Luckily, with ‘Civil War’ set to hit theaters in two weeks, Marvel is rapidly cranking out new footage in a variety of forms.
The first is an unlikely source, an Audi car ad. The clip itself is comedic but incorporates footage from the movie of Captain America and Black Panther racing through a tunnel.
To catch these two heroes in action, check out the clip below:
In case you need a new car, this clip is for the new Audi SQ7.
The second clip is the latest TV ad which highlights most of the featured characters from the movie. In it, we get a single word uttered by Boseman, “Captain.”
Boseman discussed how he approached voicing this iconic character from the fictional African nation of Wakanda, saying:
“The idea of Wakanda is sort of, what if Timbuktu hasn’t been conquered? I basically listened to people and picked what sounded cool, since it’s not a specific place. It’s in the southern, central part of Africa. The attitude, the musicality, as is my preference of the character. It has to fit his dignity.”
You can hear his voice briefly in the clip below and witness some new footage of the various characters:
Are you excited to see this regal hero take his place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Will the wait for his solo movie be worth it?
