‘The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part’ arrives in theaters in February, but with so many folks headed to theaters this holiday season– and buying LEGOs– now is a great time to hype up this release for next year. In addition to a new trailer, Warner Brothers has released seven character posters, showcasing both returning characters and new additions.
Chris Pratt returns as Emmet Brickowski, along with Elizabeth Banks as Lucy a.k.a. Wyldstyle, Will Arnett as Batman, and Allison Brie as Unikitty. In addition, Pratt will voice a new character, Rex Dangervest, a freewheeling action hero that appears to to be a parody of his own other roles in ‘Jurassic World’ and ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’. Likewise, Brie is voicing Ultrakatty, which appears to be an unleashed version of Unikitty.
‘The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part’ also introduces new characters, but are they friends or foes? Two newcomers are featured on the new posters, Queen Watevra Wa’Nabi voiced by Tiffany Haddish and General Mayhem, also known as Sweet Mayhem, performed by ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s Stephanie Beatriz.

Though they didn’t get their own posters, Charlie Day, Jonah Hill, Nick Offerman, and Channing Tatum will be back as spaceman Benny, Green Lantern, pirate Metal Beard and Superman, respectively. Margot Robbie will join the fun as Harley Quinn, while Arturo Castro plays a character only known as Ice Cream Cone.

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part” reunites the heroes of Bricksburg in an all new action-packed adventure to save their beloved city. It’s been five years since everything was awesome and the citizens are facing a huge new threat: LEGO DUPLO® invaders from outer space, wrecking everything faster than they can rebuild.
The battle to defeat them and restore harmony to the LEGO universe will take Emmet, Lucy, Batman and their friends to far away, unexplored worlds, including a strange galaxy where everything is a musical. It will test their courage, creativity and Master Building skills, and reveal just how special they really are.
The first ‘LEGO Movie’, directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller was a surprise hit in 2014, crossing over to a wide audience beyond just kids and families. Unfortunately, Lord and Miller were not at the helm of the sequel. Instead, Mike Mitchell (‘Trolls’) and Trisha Gum (‘Robot Chicken’) co-directed the new feature.
