Actor Eric Bana Looking To Join Director Tim Burton’s ‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’

Based on Seth Grahame-Smith’s (Pride and Prejudice and Zombies) novel of the same name, Australian actor Eric Bana is apparently looking to play the tallest President (6’4″) in American history in director Tim Burton’s film version.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is based on some secret Abraham Lincoln diaries. The premise is that Lincoln’s life was saved by a good vampire named Henry Sturges when Lincoln fought a vampire in his teenage years, which led to a friendship between the two men, with Sturges teaching Lincoln how to become a bad-ass vampire hunter. Lincoln kept diaries of his life, and those diaries were in turn given to the author by Sturges.

Set to be directed by Timur Bekmambetov and produced by Tim Burton, ‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’ is set to be released on June 22, 2012.
