Blumhouse has revealed the first poster for ‘Fantasy Island’, their horror reboot of the classic TV series (not a horror series), with a cryptic message: “Can You See It?”

You may need to blow the picture up to “see” what Blumhouse is talking about.
The poster also bears the message “#NeverComingHome” a fun hashtag that people often use to caption their vacation photos on social media. Just above the logo appears a tiny plane. Every episode of the classic ‘Fantasy Island’ opened with Tattoo, played by French actor Hervé Villechaize, shouting “Ze plane! Ze plane!,” a catchphrase Villechaize came to hate over time. But like it or not, it is one of the most memorable things about the original show.
But none of those is the thing you are meant to see. If you really examine it, the island is shaped like the silhouette of a person’s face with their mouth wide open, possibly in a scream. The text appears in front of both lips, the hashtag at the top, and the line “From the Producers of Get Out and Halloween” at the bottom. The plane seems to be flying into the mouth. Also, if you blow the image up, there is something just outside of the mouth. It’s a tiny green rectangle, possibly a small boat. Maybe even a coffin?
Jeff Wadlow, who directed Blumhouse’s hit ‘Truth or Dare’, also helmed this picture.
“The enigmatic Mr. Roarke (Michael Peña), makes the secret dreams of his lucky guests come true at a luxurious but remote tropical resort. But when the fantasies turn into nightmares, the guests have to solve the island’s mystery in order to escape with their lives.”
In addition to Peña, the cast includes ‘Truth or Dare’s Lucy Hale, plus Kim Coates, Portia Doubleday, Parisa Fitz-Henley, Ryan Hansen, Charlotte McKinney, Maggie Q, Michael Rooker, Austin Stowell, and Jimmy O. Yang.
