One of the best things about waiting for the next installment of the ‘American Horror Story’ anthology is seeing all the teasers that come out before the show is released. At first when you see them, the teasers seem disjointed and creepy, but it isn’t until the season begins that you get a real feel of the significance of each teaser. That’s why these 3 new spots bring a lot of excitement.
The first of the three new teasers is titled ‘Caged’ and shows a woman contortionist inside a bird cage. This same image can be seen in the poster that was released last week which featured a bearded Kathy Bates, strong man Michael Chiklis, a two headed Sarah Paulson and a three breasted Angela Bassett (yep, you read that right, three breasts).
One thing that seemed to be missing in the poster was a three legged woman which seems to be the running theme in the next two teasers. In the first teaser below, the mysterious three legged woman is in the ‘Spotlight’ as a trapeze artist and in the second, we see another three legged woman (or maybe the same one?) as a contortionist. Nothing says putting your best foot forward than while doing so in a pretzel position.
This season’s ‘American Horror Story’ will definitely be a visual experience. Not only due to the nature of the Freak Show, but the series also teases that this season will have the scariest killer clown audiences will ever encounter. There will also be some eye candy involved as Matt Bomer, Wes Bentley and Finn Wittock have signed on for guest spots as well.
With the premiere of ‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ in just a month away, expect a few more teasers before a full trailer is released. Until then, we’ll just have to speculate about how the teasers all fit in with what will happen in the upcoming season.
