So, when Jude Law really wanted to learn the ins and outs of Albus Dumbledore beyond what had already been presented in the books, he was able to get a behind-the-scenes look at the character from Rowling herself. As we’d be seeing a Dumbledore who was much younger and greener than the one played by Richard Harris in the first two films and later Michael Gambon after his passing, a lot was riding on nailing the character. In the crossover, after the destruction of the multiverse and then its resurrection, all of the current Arrowverse series (‘The Flash,’ ‘Arrow,’ ‘Supergirl,’ ‘Batwoman,’ ‘Black Lightning,’ and ‘Legends of Tomorrow’) now find themselves on one new Earth, which has been dubbed “Earth-Prime,” though most will probably come to know it as “Earth-CW” in the future. According to executive producer Marc Guggenheim, this was always the plan for ‘Crisis.’ In his words, while at a screening for ‘Crisis’ in December, he explains: “We knew from last year, quite frankly, that we were going to merge and create Earth-CW basically, but Earth-Prime sounds better. Even though in the comics, Earth-Prime is our Earth, I just personally like the sound of Earth-Prime. Radcliffe starred in eight blockbuster ‘Harry Potter’ movies from 2001-2011.  And as it turns out, these pictures made an impression on the very powerful Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios.  While Marvel has created a unique film experience, with its interlocking shared universe, it still has to draw inspiration from movies that have come before it, and Feige cites Warner Brothers’ ‘Potter’ brand as inspiration in particular area — creating a mythology that is entertaining to general audiences while still pleasing fans who have embraced the movies after having already been devoted readers of the comics. Last week, for the first time, ‘Cursed Child’ ticket sales grossed less than $1 million.  ‘Cursed Child’ ticket sales on Broadway peaked in January and have been on a steady decline ever since. Now in all fairness, ticket sales on Broadway are down across the board, with high-profile shows like ‘Mean Girls’ and ‘Frozen’ also experiencing slumps, and with Broadway ticket sales overall down 7%.  The average Broadway ticket now costs 47% what it did at this time last year.  And ‘Cursed Child’ suffers because it is a two-part play (meaning you have to go see the first and second halves separately) and the fact that it is a play, and not a musical, so no catchy songs to sing along to.  The show is very elaborate in other ways, with lots of stage magic, stunts, and special effects. Dan Reehil, a pastor at the Roman Catholic parish school, sent an email that read, in part: “These books present magic as both good and evil, which is not true, but in fact a clever deception.
