We all know that Kit Harington is set to return as Jon Snow on HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones‘ at least one more time but did he just confirm exactly how much longer we’ll be seeing the character? A recent interview with everyone’s favorite leader of the Night’s Watch who was out promoting ‘Testament of Youth’ may have had him accidentally saying too much.
With Harington still being under contract to have his hair long for the series and being on set, it almost seems like we already know that Jon Snow will return! Of course, he could be coming back for a combination of a funeral and flashbacks for all we know. Chances are though that with the priestess Melisandre showing up at The Wall just prior to The Knight’s Watch executing their leader, there is a good chance we’ll have a resurrection at hand.
So what did he end up saying on how long he might be around? Well while not exact confirmation, but according to a recent interview:
KH: “The important thing is that I now know exactly how long I am still under contract, and in the meantime-”
Interviewer: “How many more seasons would that be?”
Kit: “Nice try (laughs). I can’t talk about that. Let’s just say that Game of Thrones will remain a part of my life for a while, I’ll probably be in my thirties when it’s over. One thing’s for sure: the day I’m no longer on Thrones is the day I’ll bury myself in movie projects (laughs).”
With his thirties being a couple of years off and the series rumored to be 8 seasons that quite likely means we’ll be seeing him in for the long haul. Of course we don’t know if it will be as the Jon Snow we know and love, a resurrected Jon, a zombie Jon, or any number ongoing ways that they could use the character.
